Energising...
Hey all, and welcome to my first toy review. Today I shall be reviewing Funko Pop's Star Trek Sheldon Cooper SDCC 2013 'transporting' exclusive. This is my first Funko Pop, and I already love them. This particular one is Dr Sheldon Cooper from 'The Big Bang Theory' in a Starfleet uniform, however as its a SDCC (San Diego Comic Con) figure, it gets better.

That's right, its moulded in a transparent, glittery plastic to give a 'teleporting' like look. I love it, and it really is effective. The figure comes packaged in a window box. At the front we have the Funko Pop logo, The Big Bang Theory's logo and the particular number of the figure (73). As this is a SDCC exclusive, there is also a sticker to say this telling us that there are only 1008 of these. the back of the box gives us a bio on Sheldon and the sides feature more images of the figure. As is the case with most Funko Pops, Sheldon is a 3.75 scale. There is only one point of articulation, the large head being able to do a full 360. The eyes are two black circles, which is pretty much the same on all of Funko's figures.
As a Star Trek and The Big Bang Theory fan, I really love this. I especially love the style of this figure, and I cant say no to a SDCC exclusive. The transparent plastic is a brilliant idea, and one that translates well into figure form. I cant wait to get some more and I can certainly image massing up a lot of these, as there are so many to choose form. With things like Alien, Predator and Robocop to Ghostbusters, MLP:FiM and Marvel and DC, they range form cartoons to video games and many TV series and Movies, so there's plenty to choose. I will soon be getting the 1966 Catwoman, so expect another review in a couple of weeks time. I hope you enjoyed this review and you can check out a gallery of images below:
